CLARETIAN LAY EVANGELIZERS

Mission Statement
In the spirit of Saint Anthony Mary Claret, Evangelizer and Missionary, we strive to bring the Good News of God's love to all people.

Sharing in the mission of the Claretian Missionaries, Mary is our model of discipleship as we respond to the needs of the poor and oppressed with generous and passionate hearts.

We are called to an evangelizing leadership as servants of the Word through our participation in small communities of faith, our commitment to bring about a more just and peaceful world, and our effort to promote vocations as lay leaders and religious for the service of God's People.

Unique to our U.S. Western Province are our Claretian Lay Evangelizers. Initiated by the Claretian Team serving San Gabriel Mission in 1998, the Claretian Lay Evangelizers were developed as a community based organization of lay men and women who share our charism and mission in their local parishes and ministries. These very committed collaborators bring the Good News of God's Reign and the spirit of our Founder to others through their small faith communities, ministry to the homeless, youth and young adults ministries, local and national organizations such as community organizing programs and Pax Christi USA, among other ministries of evangelization and prophetic service to God's People.

Along with San Gabriel Mission, Claretian Lay Evangelizers are active and life-giving members of Our Lady Queen of Angels (La Placita) Parish in Los Angeles and Saint Anthony Mary Claret Parish in Fresno.
